Crown moulding provides architectural detail to undefined, blank walls.  They increase the number of colors you can work with and they create an intimate living space below the crown.  In this example we have used Dykes crown moulding #707 Dentil, which adds a little more architectural flair!

Baseboard mouldings come in a variety of styles to match any home decor from simple thin boards to thick ornate mouldings.  Sleek angled baseboards will give the room a more modern look, while ornate curved mouldings will make the space feel traditional.  Perhaps the most important aspect of selecting baseboards is finding a moulding that is the perfect size and scale for your room.  Dykes Lumber has a wide assortment of styles to fit any decor and room size.  In this concept we have use Dykes base #263.

Adding chair rail on walls will make your room visually appealing and add architectural interest.  It has become very popular to paint the top half of the walls one color and the bottom half of the walls either a darker shade or a completely different color.  Chair rails come in many different designs and sizes.  For out room, we have chose Dykes chair rail #295.

Door and window trims are available in numerous styles and sizes.  Dykes Lumber is the Northeasts largest stocking dealer and we stock numerous wood species, but if we don’t have just what you are looking for, just ask and we can custom order just about anything!  In this concept, we have used Dykes casing #345 for the window and door.  We have also added a decorative element by using Dykes corner block (rosette) #740 on the top, corners of the door and window casing.
